What Are Lingual Braces?
Lingual Braces are a custom-made orthodontic appliance that can be used to treat crowding, overbite and/or cross-bites. Lingual braces are different from traditional braces as they are worn on the inside of your teeth (lingually). The purpose of this type of treatment is to individually move each teeth into proper alignment and help you achieve better dental health with less discomfort and an overall beautiful smile
Lingual braces are very effective for treating mild cases of overcrowding and overbite. They are also helpful if you have had previous orthodontic treatments with fixed appliances, which may have caused damage to your gums and bone structure.

How Do Lingual Braces Work?

Dr. Mollov will place the lingual braces behind your teeth using an adhesive material. Once they are securely bonded in place, they will start to slowly pull your teeth together until they are aligned properly to create the smile of your dreams.

Lingual Braces Process
The process for lingual braces involves taking an impression of the teeth, which is then sent to a dental laboratory and used to create customized brackets. The process takes about six weeks and, once complete, allows the orthodontist to use a specific process to cement the braces onto the back surfaces of your teeth.
